LINO CHEANG

Mr. Cheang has accumulated over 40 years of geotechnical and earthquake engineering experience while providing foundation design services for numerous new, replaced, and widened bridge structures for various transportation and public works agencies. These structures include railroad bridges, major water crossings, long viaducts, and over/under crossings at major interchanges. In addition to bridges, many of these public work projects included foundation design for retaining walls, sound walls, roadway embankments, overhead signs and pavement structural sections. Mr. Cheang supervised the collection of subsurface data for foundation design of near-shore and off-shore structures such as port and harbor facilities and jacket-leg platforms. He also provided design and construction support for hill-side stabilization projects using earthen buttresses, and soldier pile and ground anchor systems. Mr. Cheang earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and is a registered Civil and Geotechnical Engineer in California.
