Dr. Lee Blecher

Professor, Hospitality Management

Dr. Lee Blecher is the founding and former director of the Hospitality Management Program and currently teaches in the department and supports program needs. He holds a B.A. from U.C. Santa Barbara, an M.S. from Oregon State University, an MBA from CSU Long Beach, and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. 

Dr. Blecher actively participates in a variety of professional organizations and serves on industry and educational advisory boards. He serves on the Board of Directors for the ÃÛÌÒÓ°ÏñHotel and Lodging Association Hospitality Foundation and is a member of the state-wide hospitality curriculum review group for the ÃÛÌÒÓ°ÏñCommunity Colleges Academic Senate. Prior to joining academia, Dr. Blecher worked in food and beverage operations, including contract management services with ARAMARK. 

Dr. Blecher has authored or co-authored a number of research publications and conference publications on topics related to hospitality operations and education.
