Kenya Gomez-Tydor
Kenya Gomez-Tydor, M.A., CCC-SLP is a full-time lecturer and hospital-based internship coordinator in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at ÃÛÌÒÓ°ÏñState University, Long Beach. Kenya attended ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ for her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communicative Disorders (currently Speech Language Pathology). Prior to joining the ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ faculty, she was the Speech Pathology Supervisor at a three-hospital system in the San Gabriel Valley, where she continues to work as a per-diem acute care Speech-Language Pathologist. She holds experience in acute hospital units, transitional care unit (skilled nursing facility), acute rehabilitation unit, hospice, NICU and out-patient clinic settings. Kenya is a fluent Spanish speaker and her professional areas of interest include dysphagia management, acquired neurogenic communication disorders and voice disorders.
