Field Training Officer Development

This course builds upon the basic FTO course by further developing FTO skills with adult learning techniques, teaching styles, and evaluations. ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ will develop learning plans utilizing the DOR as a platform and will also formulate a personal development plan as a coach and mentor.

The course focuses on the FTO as a coach and mentor while also highlighting their role as a supervisor and role model. It is designed for FTOs but would also be valuable for other field trainers.

ÃÛÌÒÓ°Ïñ are required to bring a laptop for this course.

Note: This course does NOT satisfy the FTO update requirement indicated in 11 CCR Â§ 1004.
