Agents of Change
The Agents of Change Program inspires high school students to connect career skills to solving real-world challenges. The 6-month program includes 2 in-class 60-minute workshops, career coaching and mentorship from current professionals, a school level presentation competition, and now, our culminating research symposium. In 2025, 700 students received these lessons, 40 of whom formed teams to develop a creative solution to important issues facing their community…inspiring us all to build a better future.
On June 3rd, 100 GEAR UP 10th graders, their families, community members, and business leaders attended the 3rd annual Future Fair - Agents of Change: Community Impact Symposium. The half-day event kicked-off with a welcome from Danielle Munoz and Anthony Saucedo, followed by a keynote address by Dr. Stephanie Jones. Student teams presented their portfolios, with the winning group earning $1000 scholarship and an overnight trip to San Diego to visit college campuses.
